Lifestyle charters are great; hell, we helped invent the concept with our first Couples Cruise charter back in 2010. But not everyone wants to go on a cruise where everyone is nude, the entertainment is a little bit too much for them, they aren’t going to the playrooms anyway and the itineraries are limited, how many times can you get excited about going to Cozumel (no offense, Cozumel, we like you, we really do) but there are so many other ports we want to explore.
We polled our clients and here are the top ten things (in order) that they want in a cruise vacation:
1. Cruising with Like-Minded People:
It’s simple: you want to be able to hang out with people who don’t judge you. You want to speak openly and be yourself. If you are looking to meet on a cruise ship, at least you will know who is in the group. But our groups have a lot more than just “swingers”; our cruisers are very inclusive, non-judgmental, and open-minded.
2. No Kids on board!
This is the second most significant requirement from our clients. They want a kids-free experience, and on Virgin Voyages, that is precisely what you will get.
3. Reasonable Prices:
After chartering ships worldwide, we understand why prices are so high, but our clients have been asking for more reasonably priced cruise vacations where they don’t have to break the bank to cruise with their friends and other like-minded travelers.
4. Clothing-Optional Experiences in Ports:
We will put together some great private tours to nude beaches and clothing-optional destinations while in port. Virgin Ships do not have clothing-optional decks. If you want to have that on your cruise, check out our list of cruises where you can sail nude, but Virgin does have a topless sun deck, and we will schedule times for group topless suntanning for those who want to work on their tans onboard.
Note: Not all ports offer clothing-optional opportunities, but we will find the ones that do and put together amazing tours and experiences in every port.
5. Great Food:
The food is generally much better on a Virgin Cruise. I mean, who wants buffets anyway? We are tired of paying extra for Specialty Dining. It’s all included on a Virgin Cruise, no additional cost for the nicer restaurants and no buffets!

6. Great Ports:
With no disrespect to the same old ports in Miami, our cruisers want to go to the southern Caribbean islands, Alaska, the West Coast of Mexico, the Mediterranean, and much more. We want to add variety you just can’t get from your typical lifestyle charters.
7. Adult-Oriented, Edgy Entertainment & Comedy Shows
Most cruise lines tame down the shows because of the kids. Every now and then, they will have an adults-only comedy show on a regular cruise, but on Virgin, all shows and comedy are tailored for adults.
8. Couples AND Singles allowed:
Many lifestyle cruises do not allow singles, and we think couples and singles should be able to vacation together and have a great time.
9. Inclusivity
We were shocked to hear that some lifestyle cruises would only allow couples that were made up of one woman and one man. That is so 1950s of them.
